UNITED ACTIONS FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
OUR MISSION:
-Peacebuilding: We aim to support innovative projects that promote conflict resolution and peacebuilding in Guinea. This includes fostering dialogue between communities, seeking reconciliation, and promoting mutual understanding and equality for vulnerable populations, such as minorities;
-ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS: encouraging awareness of environmental issues and our responsibilities as global citizens through community projects, educational workshops, and experiential learning, because the mining activities in Guinea, West Africa, are making the local communities extremely vulnerable.
-Women's empowerment: to allow women to participate in all facets of their development, it is important to ensure that their inherent rights are acknowledged and upheld. Guinea has a very high rate of illiteracy, with women being the majority affected by the patriarchy and traditional hierarchy of the society:
OUR VISION
Building trust between people, appreciating local culture, and believing in the strength of local abilities, ideas, and solutions are all essential components of establishing a peaceful community free from violence and fear.
OUR GOALS:
Encourage education and peace in Guinea and elsewhere; encourage the development of attitudes, knowledge, and abilities that enable people to avoid conflict and settle it amicably; Work to foster in communities an appreciation of intercultural diversity, the acquisition of peaceful engagement skills, and the vision of a world free from fear and violence; Create an international cultural peace of youth development; Construct an adaptable and robust organization founded on communication and unity.
NOTE: In 2021, we changed our project name from Together-As-One to United Actions for Community Development.
