My involvement with Together as one started right after its establishment. Thereafter, I hurriedly submitted the necessary documents for obtaining a membership card. My aspiration through the NGO was to benefit from an exchange program abroad. Consequently, I attended “the right to know” event which took place at the school of Sciences in Meknes. This seminar outlined the importance of motivation and self-esteem for educational and professional purposes. These concepts inspired me to apply to as many programs abroad as possible, and luckily, I attended a weeklong study program in February 2014, organized by the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia. Mr Fofana Ousmane Kerfala was a great help throughout the process of my application. This experience taught me how to live in a cosmopolitan environment with students from different countries. It also gave me the opportunity to discover potential English-taught MA programs which I could apply for in the host institution.
